It’s got ambiance and flair, providing users a choice between seven subdued visual backgrounds and eight ambient music soundtracks. app provides a minimalist, Zen-like atmosphere for wordsmiths. While OmmWriter for the iPad is an elegant, beautifully designed app, it’s not for everyone. It differs so much from other apps primarily to facilitate writing that while it can be described, it really has to be experienced to be appreciated. If you’re not familiar with the Mac version, you would perhaps even consider it radical. I once again apologize if this was not a good review for I have used ZenWriter for the first time.OmmWriter for the iPad is a striking word processor. ZenWriter has a few additional options such as printing, wider background option library, adding custom backgrounds, and more music options than Ommwirter Dana I. The two writing environments are similar. I am so sorry if this is was a horrible review. The text sometimes does this weird thing and starts to uh shake (sorry for the weak descriptions) as you type. i guess you can try the spell check for that idk. DOCs: ZenWriter apparently comes with its own little handy library to which you save your documents. Awesome for a text-size-challenged person such as myself FONT SIZE: Amazing ability to enlarge the font. Font: Comes with many more options than Ommwriter. Not an option in Ommwriter as you already know. Transitions in music are smoother in Ommwriter. The music continues playing after you minimize the window. Background Tunes: ZenWriter offers five lovely compositions under the following titles: “Birth,” “Laja,” “Liquid Mountains,” “Mantiqueria” and “The Cloverfield.” All options are very nice. What about you?) One tune less than Ommwriter Dana I. This option can be changed to water drops Ommwriter and ZenWriter offer similar typing sounds. Typin’ Noises: The keyboard makes typewriter sounds. Offers more options than the Ommwriter menu. C.Option Menu: Comes on the top right of the page, similarly to the menu in Ommwriter. Above the top line is what i believe to be the title of the document. They both disappear (along with the option menu) when you type. 1.B.Text Box: Same as in Ommwriter: the text box can be re-sized at will Has two lines one on top, the other on the bottom of the document. The 'day’ leaves your image as it is, and the 'night’ makes it darker. Now something fun! There is a ‘day’ and a 'night’ option. Comes with many background options ranging from an autumn beach to old paper. Background: Comes with a custom option which enables you to upload your own picture(s) as the background. 1. VISUAL experience: (The program opens in the absolute full screen option. The download was barely lengthy (only 7 minutes but idk impatient people might mind) but the installation was quick as a lightning. I found out about ZenWriter through your post. I must agree that it is extremely distracting. Oh! By the way, I hate using Word because of the more or less mandatory spell check. Here is a little review which I hope you find it helpful. I decided to download ZenWriter and tell you what I think about it. Hello! I read your post in which you talked about Ommwriter.
